Vasaloppet Art Show Feb. 10-12

The Kanabec Country Art Association is sponsoring the annual Vasaloppet Art Show at St. Mary’s Parish Center Feb. 10-12. The show is free and open to the public from 1-9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10.  On Saturday, Feb. 11, the show is open from 10 to 5 and Sunday, Feb. 12 from 10-4. Congressman’s mobile office

Members of Congressman Chip Cravaack’s staff will be available to meet with constituents at the following locations on Thursday, Feb. 9: Chisago House Restaurant, 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m., 361 Bench Street, Taylors Falls; and Stacy City Hall, noon. – 1:30 p.m.

RC American Legion

The Rush City American Legion and Auxiliary will meet at the community center Monday, Feb. 13. Dessert will be served at 6:30 p.m.

Auxiliary meeting, Mother’s Day dinner

The North Branch American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, and its Mother’s Day dinner will be May 9 at 6:30 p.m.

National Anthem vocalist performs for Cool Time event Feb. 16

Jennifer Thyng has sung the National Anthem for Major League team games across the U.S.  She will perform at the Cool Time at Cool Beanz evening with We R Able on Thursday, Feb. 16.  A meal begins at 5 p.m. with music at 6 p.m. Thyng’s music career began early in life while living in the Grasston and Braham communities.  Pre-registration is required with We R Able. Lyme association meets

The Minnesota Lyme Association support group will meet Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the North Branch Library community room. Everyone is welcome to attend and coffee will be served.

Spaghetti and love go together

Find out how spaghetti and love go together this Sunday, Feb. 12 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Rush Point. The Sunday school children will share their love in song and Bible verses during the worship service. They also have made tokens of love to share with the congregation. After the 10 a.m. service enjoy a spaghetti and meatball dinner served by the Sunday school staff. A free-will donation will be accepted and will go to the Sunday school. Calvary Lutheran is located 5.5 miles east of Grandy, take County Road 6 or 6 miles west of Rush City on County Road 7 (Rush Point Drive).

Wild game feed at Living Branch

Living Branch Lutheran Church in North Branch is having its 4th annual Wild Game Feed, Saturday, Feb. 18 beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour, followed by the meal, guest speakers, door prizes and raffles. There is no charge, but a free-will donation is appreciated. Proceeds from this event are used for scholarships for youths to attend Lutheran Island Camp in summer. Questions? Mystery Mountain Boys at 

Chisago Lake Lutheran Feb. 18

The Mystery Mountain Boys, a local gospel-bluegrass band, will be at Chisago Lake Lutheran, Center City,
Saturday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. They perform bluegrass, country gospel and whatever else the Lord inspires them to do.  Be prepared to laugh, sing along and enjoy an evening of good music and fellowship.  There is no charge, but

Christian Women’s luncheon

The Christian Women’s Connection will have an 11:30 a.m. luncheon at Peace Lutheran Church in Dresser, Wis., Monday, Feb. 20,   A style show by Lavon Hanson titled “It Might As Well Be Spring!” will be the special feature. Former intern pastor returns to Trinity this Sunday

Trinity Lutheran Church, North Branch, is celebrating 125 years with a variety of activities which will culminate in an Anniversary celebration in May.

Throughout its history, Trinity has been a strong supporter of pastoral interns and is excited to announce that former intern Mike Jacobson will return on Sunday, Feb. 12 to share his experiences being a pastor in the Dakotas.

Bishop Rick Foss will discuss the changes in ministry and internships on Sunday, Feb. 19. All are welcome to services at 8 a.m. or 9:45 a.m.
