Long Spurs donate to community needs
To the Editor:
The Long Spurs of Sunrise River, Chisago County’s chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, are committed to helping our local community and to the NWTF’s mission to the preservation of the wild turkey, our hunting heritage and our future legacy. The Long Spurs of Sunrise River in recent months have made a few donations to some local organizations.
In November, the Long Spurs donated 32 frozen turkeys to Family Pathways and in December, when their freezers were out of meat, the Long Spurs donated $500 in $10 gift cards from County Market.
In January, the Long Spurs donated $350 to the Harris Volunteer Fire Department and $160 to the North Branch Quarterback Club.
