Registration for June’s Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon began on Monday, Feb. 13. The race entry process is conducted through a lottery in which 6,300 participants will be randomly selected.
Continuing through Feb. 24, registration will be available at GrandmasMarathon.com for all half-marathon hopefuls. Lottery participants can submit their registration any time during the 12-day online registration period.
Participants’ acceptance into the race will be confirmed via e-mail during the week of Feb. 27. Runners who were not selected will also be e-mailed. The entry fee is $75, and it only applies to those selected through the lottery.
The 22nd annual Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, which is run on the second half of the Grandma’s Marathon course, is Saturday, June 16, at 6:45 a.m.
Grandma’s Marathon update
Nearly 4,800 runners have registered for Grandma’s Marathon, also June 16. The entry fee for the event’s 36th running is $90 until April 1, when it increases to $100.
