Taylors Falls woman dies in accident on Hwy. 95

Two Taylors Falls women were heading out to do some shopping and have lunch today when their pickup was broadsided by a semi truck at the intersection of Hwy. 95 and Mulberry Street. (Co. Rd. 70)
Diane Moffitt, age 66, of Taylors Falls, a passenger in the pickup, was pronounced dead at the scene. Driver, Joy Bandemer, 76, of Taylors Falls was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul in critical condition.
Driver of the semi was Donald Rose, age 70, of Denton, Texas. He has no apparent injuries.
The 1997 GMC Sierra pickup was traveling southbound on Mulberry Street and, according to the State Patrol report, pulled out directly in front of the semi and was struck broadside.
On the scene, beside the State Patrol, was Taylors Falls Fire Department, Lakes Region EMS and Chisago County deputies.

Visitation 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom, Minnesota and one hour prior to service at the church.
Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at First Lutheran Church in Taylors Falls, Minnesota.
Interment at Kahbakong Cemetery in Taylors Falls, Minnesota.
