Murder-By-Month mystery writer to visit Rush City Public Library

On Tuesday, March 13 at 6:30 p.m. the Rush City Public Library will host Minnesota author Jess Lourey. She will talk about writing her Murder-By-Month mystery series.

The series is set around the actual small Minnesota town of Battle Lake where Lourey once lived.  After 423 rejection letters, she persevered until finally “May Day,” the first in the series, was accepted by a publisher.

The newest title in the series, “November Hunt,” was just published in February 2012.

Lourey’s visit is part of East Central Regional Library’s Meet the Author series and is funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.  Books will be available for sale at the event.  The program is free and open to the public.  For more information call the library at 320-358-3948.
