RC Girls Basketball – Win First Round of Section Playoffs
The #4 south seeded Rush City girls basketball team hosted and defeated #5 seed Aitkin 56-34 Thursday, March 1 in the first round of Section 7AA playoffs. The team ended its regular season third in the Great River Conference with a 11-5 conference and now has a 15-8 overall record. The Tigers will travel to compete against #1 section seed and #3 state ranked Braham in the quarterfinals at University of Minnesota Duluth at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, March 3. The semifinals will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 6 and the Section 7AA Championship at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 8 at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
