Dance studio takes home all platinum awards

All seven Desiree Dance Studio (DDS) competition lines and solos did great at the recent Midwest Starz Dance Competition in Monticello, Minn.  They started off the competition season with all platinums, the highest earned award. It was the first time ever in DDS history to go all platinum.

Every routine that competes can earn a silver, gold, high gold or platinum award.  This was a wonderful accomplishment for DDS dancers and staff.

Also congratulations to Sara Sunde, Rhiannon Lasch, Taylor Kosman, Abbey Callahan, Mercedey Harper and Khyah Harper for receiving “Oustanding Dancer Awards” from three professional judges and are invited to perform at Nationals with other Outstanding Dancers from across the nation.

DDS Competition Lines routine awards:

Rebecca Perales – Platinum for Lyrical Routine; Rhiannon Lasch – Platinum Lyrical Routine; Rhiannon Lasch – Platinum Jazz Routine; Taylor Kosman – Platinum Jazz Routine; Sara Sunde – Platinum Hip Hop Routine.

Gem Line – Platinum in both Hip Hop and Jazz – this was a first competition for the new Gem Line.

Ruby Line – Platinum in both Hip Hop and Jazz – this was also a first competition for the new Ruby Line.

Star Line – Platinum in both Jazz and Hip Hop

Crystal – Platinum in both Jazz and Hip Hop

Diamond Line – Platinum in both Jazz and Hip Hop

Crew Line – Platinum in Hip Hop

Troupe Line – Platinum in Hip Hop

Gem Line – 1st Place for Hip Hop & 2nd Place High Point for Jazz

Diamond Line – 1st Place High Point for Jazz

Diamond Line – 3rd Highest Points in the entire competition for Jazz

Rhiannon Lasch – 1st Place High Point for Teen Solo

Rhiannon Lasch – Judges Choice Award for her Lyrical Solo

Sara Sunde – 3rd Place High Point for Hip Hop Solo
