At a recent meeting in Braham, the East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) elected Laurie Greeninger as a new ECRAC board member representing Chisago County.
Greeninger, of North Branch, is an art teacher in the North Branch schools. She completed her undergraduate work at Minnesota State University, Mankato, in arts education and her graduate level studies at St. Mary’s University, Minneapolis, in arts administration.
She is also a member of the Art Educators of Minnesota, the National Arts Education Association and the Minnesota Alliance for Arts in Education.
ECRAC is one of Minnesota’s Regional Arts Councils. It is an organization for improving the quantity and quality of arts in the region. This is accomplished primarily through grant-making and technical assistance for organizations and individuals. During her two-year term, Greeninger will participate in ECRAC’s volunteer board of directors.
The board is composed of artists, art advocates, and arts enthusiasts from across the five county Region 7E (Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine counties.)
