Poodle skirts and turntables

SLIDESHOW The North Branch Music Boosters hosted a neat-o time with local teens (and young at heart) sporting slicked back and big hairdos, poodle skirts, nifty hats and other styles from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s at the Swing Gala Friday night at the high school. The evening included the musical talents of the “Animal Kingdom Takeover” band, the Harmonaires and Stix & Trix. North Branch teacher Tom McLaughlin and his wife even taught the students some slick dance steps. The Boosters put on the event in support of North Branch school’s music programs.
