Roberta Jean Remer Seevers Stover, 63, passed away on February 2, 2012 in San Diego, Calif. She was born on February 29, 1948 in Rush City, Minn.
Roberta and her first husband, Dean Seevers, lived and raised their family in Loveland, Colo.
Roberta graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BS and Masters of Science in nursing.
She worked as a nurse at Mckee Medical Center and as an instructor at Front Range Community College.
After leaving Loveland she worked as a traveling nurse.
In 1997, she became a full-time RV traveler and toured extensively throughout the United States. Roberta and her husband, Smokey, built a house in La Ribera where she loved her view overlooking the Sea of Cortez.
She was actively involved in Amigos del Animales for which she was treasurer, organized spay/neuter clinics, and fostered many dogs.
Roberta loved traveling and experiencing new adventures, caring for her dogs, spending time at the beach, gardening, handicrafts, playing card games and spending time with friends and family.
Roberta is survived by her husband Smokey Stover, son Scot Seevers, daughter Nina Honebein, grandchildren Jakob Seevers, Austen Seevers, Sebastian Seevers, Benjamin Honebein, Savannah Seevers and Henry Honebein, sister Ginger Olson, brothers Leon Remer, Roger Remer, Jim Remer and Tom Remer.
Roberta was preceded in death by her father W.D. Remer and mother Margaret Remer.
A memorial service was held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Good Samaritan Center.
