The North Branch-Chisago Lakes First Robotics team is putting the finishing touches on the programming, marketing, and plans for the 2012 Regional Competition being held at the University of Minnesota on March 30-31. Team 3038 will be competing in the 10,000 Lakes Regional at Williams Arena.

“We feel we have a very competitive robot this year and are excited to see it in action. One regional has already been held in Minnesota and scouting at that event has given us some new ideas and clarified some strategy for us,” commented team mentor Becky Leuer.

The team will spend Thursday, March 29 getting the robot ready for competition, marketing the robot, and will participate in some practice rounds once the robot has passed inspection.

The action begins on Friday and continues into Saturday with the finals in the afternoon.  The team is competing for a spot in the World Competition in St. Louis and the first ever MSHSL co-sponsored state championships in May.

The 2012 game is called “Rebound Rumble” and can be viewed on YouTube.
