Easter fun at Ecumen North Branch

(slideshow) – What seemed like hundreds of children under 10, along with their parents or grandparents, attended the Easter event at Ecumen North Branch Sunday afternoon, April 1.

Co-sponsors of the event was the North Branch VFW Auxiliary to Post 6424 and the North Branch Lions offered their assistance to make the whole event go smoothly.

Outdoors at Ecumen, the children, by age, were able to look for plastic eggs filled with candy and other treats. There they also found the petting zoo where they could get up close and personal with goats, a llama and other interesting critters.

For a quarter they could even hand feed some of the furry friends.

Inside, the children participated in a coloring contest and enjoyed some refreshments.

And of course, there was that photo op with the Easter Bunny. In all, it was a great day for the local kids and the residents at Ecumen.
