To the Editor:
An article in last week’s edition [online only] titled “Gov. Dayton calls on majority to put kids over corporate interests” purported to interview a “North Branch mother of two school-aged kids,” and may have left readers with the impression that North Branch Area Public Schools is cutting music for students. Far from cutting, we have been improving music instruction at NBAPS. A college-level music course was added to the high school curriculum last year, music instruction has doubled at the middle school, and the Sunrise River School, where the Veterans Day and grade level music programs are alive and well, has some of the finest music labs available for elementary students in the state of Minnesota.
