The North Branch track and field teams hosted a meet versus Robbinsdale Cooper Tuesday, April 17 with the Viking girls accumulating 79 points to win over the Hawk girls with 67 points. The Viking boys totaled 53 points, while the Hawk boys had 92. On Thursday, April 19 the teams competed in the Norm Ayen Invitational in Cambridge with the girls placing third out of eight teams with 138 points behind Cambridge-Isanti with 154 and Chisago Lakes Area with 141. The boys team finished fourth with 93 points behind Duluth Denfeld (105), Chisago Lakes Area (113) and Cambridge-Isanti (162). On Saturday, April 21 the teams competed, with many members missing due to Prom, in an invitational at St. Francis with both teams placing ninth. The girls tallied up 34.12 points to place ahead of Coon Rapids (23), Duluth Denfeld (4) and Legacy Christian Academy (2.12). The boys totaled 23 points to place ahead of Shanely (13), Legacy Christian Academy (8) and Elk River (2). The Viking boys and girls teams will compete in a triangular versus Benilde-St. Margaret’s and Fridley at Fridley High School at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 24.
