Lions dinner – a rite of spring

What does a princess, a future Lion and a NB councilor have in common?

They all attended the North Branch Lions’ Prime Rib Dinner last Saturday night.

The princess was actually 5 and-a-half-year-old Kylie, along with her sister Lydia, 3 and a half, who were visiting Grandma Jacky Kveton and came to enjoy pizza. Kylie was wearing a pretty crown and she said she likes to wear it once in a while, especially at home.

The future Lion was Aaron Johnson, son of Lion Tim Johnson, who kept the tables cleared and bussed dishes all night long. Dad says he helps at other Lions events, too.

The NB councilor was Ron Lindquist who brought along his robust laugh and generous smile to enjoy the good prime rib at this annual early spring community event.

Diners enjoyed the accompanying music provided by the popular four-piece band,

Lydia, left, and Kylie smiled shyly for the PR camera. They came with their grandma to enjoy the dinner.

Reminisce, while visiting with friends and neighbors they hadn’t seen all winter. Proceeds allow the Lions to assist many people in the local community in various ways.
