After the scheduled Pine City Girls Scramble was canceled the day before due to snow, both the Rush City boys and girls golf teams competed in beautiful weather in a meet versus the Dragons at the Pine City Golf Course.

The Tiger boys team was defeated 188-225, while the girls team lost 219-246.

Dylan Fessenden carded 42, Conner Bergman 58, Sam Gilbert 62, Nick Schmidt 63, Alex Enns 69 and Eddie Johnson 71.

For the girls, Taylor Schellbach scored 47, Sara Johnson 56, Brea LeMon 57 and Allissa Thayer 86.

“This was the first regular golf meet for most of our kids,” said Coach Jeremy Albright. “I was proud of them for finishing nine holes on their own. There is a lot to be said for taking that responsibility upon themselves. Our scores will improve. Dylan shot a 42, which is pretty good for the first meet. Taylor shot a 47 while having tonsillitis. What a trooper!”
