The Rush City track and field teams competed in the Ron Jensen Invitational at Hinckley-Finlayson High School Friday, May 4 with both the boys and girls teams taking second place. The Tiger boys accumulated 114 points to place ahead of Pine City (98), Siren (64.5), East Central (51) and Braham (98); and behind only Hinckley-Finlayson (183.5). The girls team racked up 143 points to finish ahead of Pine City (109), Braham (66), East Central (47) and Siren (40); and behind Hinckley-Finlayson (146). The girls 4x100m relay team (Kayla Nelson, Alecia Meier, Brooke Hein, Keanna Belau) set a new school record. The Tiger boys and girls track teams will compete in the Section 4A True Team Meet at Sibley East High School in Arlington at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 8.
