Congressman’s mobile meeting
Members of Representative Chip Cravaack’s staff will be available to meet with constituents Friday, May 11, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., at the Isanti City Hall, 110 1st Ave NW, Isanti.
Prudence Johnson & Dean Magraw concert postponed
Due to a variety of circumstances, the May 12th concert at the Festival Theater in St. Croix Falls, Wis., is being postponed and will be rescheduled for fall 2012.
Ticket holders can get an immediate refund or hold their tickets until the fall concert.

Audubon bird walks May 12 and 19
On Saturday, May 12 Joe Sausen and Tom Anderson will lead a bird walk at Anderson Park, 27241 Furman Street N.E. in North Branch. Meet at the picnic shelter at 7:30 a.m.
Call Lee at 651-462-2015 to reserve a spot for the Anderson Park event. On May 19 Audubon will lead a birdwalk at Wild River State Park. Meet at the boat landing at 7:30 a.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
Spring book sale
The Friends of the North Branch Library will hold their Spring Book Sale on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room. Gently used books, movies and music for all ages will be available. Come early for the best selection. All proceeds go to library programming and furnishings.
Harris Legion meeting
Harris American Legion Post #139 and Auxiliary will meet Tuesday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Harris Legion Hall. Delores Olson and Anita Mohr will be serving.
Lyme Association meets May 15
Minnesota Lyme Association/North Branch Chapter will be showing a newly released DVD “Putting Lyme Behind you” by Dr. Joe Burrascano on May 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the North Branch Library community room. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Heritage Fest is May 15
The Norwegian Heritage Fest will be held at the Scandia Community Center Tuesday, May 15, 6 – 9 p.m. Enjoy eating authentic Norwegian foods, watch demonstrations of the Norwegian crafts and enjoy the music of Florian and Jerry Chmielewski and Lorren Lindevig. There will be a silent auction and you can buy Norwegian lefse. Admission by advance ticket sale only, no tickets sold at the door. Get your tickets from a Sons of Norway member; the price is $15. Glenn Miller Orchestra coming to FL
The world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra will make a return visit to Forest Lake in June.
A Wednesday, June 6 concert has been scheduled at Forest Lake High School. The 7 p.m. performance is a fundraising effort for the non-profit Forest Lake Area Community Scholarship Foundation. Proceeds from the concert will support scholarships awarded by the CSF. The CSF program, now in its 39th year, will surpass the $1 million level for scholarship dollars awarded this year.

Beyond the Baby Blues Conference
Beyond the Baby Blues is a half-day conference designed to educate professionals and families about mood disorders and anxiety before, during and after pregnancy.
It will be June 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the University of Minnesota Continuing Education Center, 1890 Bufford Avenue, in St. Paul. Experts in the field of psychology, social work, and maternal and child health, along with women and family members whose lives have been affected by postpartum depression will offer presentations.
