The Bald Eagle Sportsmen’s Association (BESA) invites families to experience a variety of sport shooting during an open house Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the club’s 80 acres of American outdoors in Hugo.
All target shooting will be under the strict supervision of range supervisors and is free of charge. Targets, ammunition and ear protection are provided by the club. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Activities include shooting M1 Grand infantry carbines from the Korean and WWII era at the 50-yard range (.22 long rifles also will be available), sporting clays at the skeet, trap and 5-stand ranges, Old West period rifles and six-shooters. The archery range will be open with compound and youth bows available, plus modern pistol shooting and muzzle loader black powder shooting.
Members will be at respective ranges to answer questions and provide target shooting. Food and soda will be provided.
