Rush City golfer Dylan Fessenden (freshman) qualified for the State Golf Championships after carding 76 in the first round of 4A Sections at Victorya Links Golf Course in Blaine Tuesday, May 29 to qualify to advance to the finals Thursday, May 31 and scoring 83 to take fourth placc. Matt Strenke (senior) came in with 91 in the first round to continue to the finals where he scored 97, but did not qualify to advance. Competing in the first round but not qualifying to advance were Nick Schmidt (sophomore) carding 106, Alex Enns (junior) 126 and Conner Berman (senior) finishing with 132. Only the top five golfers qualify to advance to the state tournament. Fessenden will be competing in the State Golf Championships at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker at a tee time to be determined Tuesday, June 12 with the finals held Wednesday, June 13.
