D.C. travelers tour our capitol

On June 11-13, 21 North Branch Middle School students accompanied by teacher Kirstin Perales toured Washington, D.C. 

The three-day trip, which is meant as a whirlwind introduction to our nation’s capital, is an annual event at NBMS. 

This year’s group highlights included visits to Arlington National Cemetery, the Holocaust Museum, the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, Mt. Vernon, the Smithsonian Museums, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Memorial, and the United States Capitol. 

Students participating in this year’s trip included Jolene Amundson, Jacob Barnes, Leea Biederman, Teressa Braun, Delaynie Fourre, Dustin Fox, Sarah Honrud, Charlie Jepsen, Amber Kaiser, Emily Leibke, Mikayla Mars, Garrett Monk, Aleah Muellner, Emma Muellner, Katie Nagel, Jake Olinske, Heather Quarnstrom, Julia Rindahl, Kiara Scheler, Toni Winkels, and Courtney Young.
