Paradise Pride to light up the night
Plans have changed a bit, there’ll be no sky lanterns, but on Thursday night, June 28, the young people of Paradise Pride will still light up the night “For the hands of our volunteers, the kindness of our supporters, and the wills of our communities.”
To thank everyone who helps them along the way, Paradise Pride is planning a colorful night at the site of First Lutheran Church, 1000 S. Jay Ave in Rush City, at 8:30 p.m.
Swedish trio to play at Trinity Lindstrom
Trinity Lutheran, Lindstrom is pleased to welcome back the Trio Con Brio from
Stockholm, Sweden in an Enchanted Scandinavian Evening, Friday, June 29 at 7 p.m. Included on the program will be the Trinity Choir under the direction of David Groettum and soloists Twyla Mitchell, Diane John and Jon Ekstrom. A free will offering will be collected. A reception follows. Please allow extra travel time to Lindstrom due to road construction.
Swedish Choirs and Orchestra to perform in Rush City and Chisago City
The public is invited to two locations for Swedish concerts with the Blue Mountains Chamber Orchestra, Viker & Järnboås Church Choir, and the Linde Bergslags Chamber choir. They will appear at the Rush City Community Center (RCCC 720 W. 14th St.) on Friday, July 6, at 10:30 a.m. and on Monday July 9, 1 p.m. at the Vitalize! Scandinavian saxophone quartet concert
The Scandinavian Saxophone Quartet, from Stockholm, Sweden, will perform in concert, at 7 p.m., July 10, at the Cambridge Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 621 Old North Main Street. Tickets will be sold at the door for $8. The concert is presented by the Cambridge Swedish Festival Committee in collaboration with the Cambridge Center for the Arts.
