Donation used to build flower beds

That’s one big check!

Lake State Federal Credit Union’s Community Improvement Foundation awarded $257.27 to Oak Leaf Grange #569. The funds were used for the purchase of flower beds for senior apartments and the senior center in North Branch. Lake State has given over $500,000 from its Community Improvement Foundation to programs in the membership area. The goal of the Community Improvement Foundation is to provide not-for-profit and governmental organizations within the credit union’s membership area funds for various projects. Grants are awarded throughout the year. The next review date of applications is Sept. 5.
