To the editor:
When it comes to doing the right thing, one business has “stepped up to the plate” concerning traffic safety.
It has been brought to my attention that the Isanti VFW is rewarding customers who opt to take a safe cab ride home instead of driving impaired. It happens that customers who leave their car behind and take the safe cab will now find a $5 voucher, which can be redeemed for food, on their windshield.
This is an excellent activity for the VFW to do to help ensure our roads are safe. This is also one very good way to take care of their customers. The Isanti County safe cab program would like to applaud this business for taking this step for safety and hope that others will follow this example.
