Quartet to sing at Harris church

The First Four, a male quartet from First Lutheran Church of Columbia Heights, will sing and lead worship this Sunday, July 8 during the morning worship service of First Lutheran Church of Harris. Paul Christensen, Jerry Ercikson, Bob Johnson, and Jon Lueth are the members of the quartet. Marilyn Lueth is the accompanist.

Jon Lueth graduated from Rush City High School in the 1960s and has many relatives in the Harris, North Branch and Rush City areas. He delights in singing in the area where he grew up.

Pastor Richard Mork, who has been serving as pastor of First Lutheran Church of Harris since April of 2008, had been pastor in Columbia Heights from 1981 to 1996 and knew the four members of the First Four then. When Jon Lueth heard that Pastor Mork would be serving in Harris, Lueth offered that the quartet would come to sing. This is now the fifth year in a row that the quartet will be coming to sing at First Lutheran Church of Harris. Their spirited Gospel music style makes them a favorite group.

All are invited to attend the service which begins at 9:30 AM. The service will be followed by a fellowship meal.
