Fiddler now playing in Forest Lake

North Branch Farmers’ Market 

The North Branch Farmers’ Market, open 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays through October, is located at the Lake State Federal Credit Union parking lot on 8th Ave. and Main St. You’ll find fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, jams, salsas, chickens, eggs, straw bales, corn shocks, pumpkins, cashmere, honey and more. Almelund Seniors meet

The Almelund Seniors will meet at Amador Town Hall on Friday, July 13 at 1 p.m. for cards and social time. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the afternoon.

PFLAG meeting

The East Central MN Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays will meet on Sunday, July 15, 4 p.m. at the ARC Retreat Center, 1680 373rd Ave NE, Stanchfield – west of Grandy. Relay For Life

Chisago County Relay For Life is set for Friday, July 20 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Almelund Threshing Grounds. Bring the family for supper and an evening of fun to include food, games, silent auction and music.

Concerts in the Park return

Concerts in the Park: a Hometown Celebration, are held Thursday evenings starting July 12 at 7 p.m. in Central Park, North Branch. For the next five weeks, this series features a variety of family-friendly music. Arrive by 6:45 p.m. to enjoy “Story Time” with friends who want to share their love of reading. Get a free child’s book to follow along, for the first 50 families to attend. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and invite your neighbors and join the fun. These concerts are smoke- and alcohol-free.

Explore your family history at the North Branch Area Library

Reference staff from East Central Regional Library will present a class for the public about basic genealogy using the AncestryPlus Library genealogical database and more.  The class will be held at the North Branch Area Library on Tuesday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m.   Class size is limited to the first 15 people.  Basic computer experience is a must.   To register for the class, stop by the library or call 651-674-8443.  You must call or stop by no later than Thursday, July 19 to register.
