Stacy woman succumbs to injuries from July 7 crash

A 24-year-old Stacy woman has died from injuries sustained in a crash between a motorcycle and pickup truck on Saturday afternoon, July 7 near the intersection of 347th Street and Oasis Road in Chisago Lakes Township.

According to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office:

Tina M. Enstad

Tina Marie Enstad was a passenger on the motorcycle driven by Richard Steven Hanson, 24, of Chisago City, at the time of the collision around 3:30 p.m.

Originally, Hanson had been transported by Lakes Region EMS ambulance and Enstad by North Air to Regions Hospital in St. Paul where Enstad succumbed to her injuries a week later on July 14.

Prior to the crash, the pickup truck was parked on the shoulder of Oasis Road, while its occupants posted signs for an event nearby. With everyone back inside the vehicle, the driver waited for traffic including two motorcycles to pass by before attempting to turn east on 347th in front of the Hanson motorcycle.

At that point, the southbound motorcycle struck the rear of the pickup truck’s driver’s side.

The driver of the pickup, a 16-year-old male from Brooklyn Park, Minn., and his three passengers were not injured.

An investigation of the crash is ongoing.

Enstad graduated from North Branch Area High School in 2006 and worked as a server at Denny’s Restaurant in North Branch for six years. Click here for her obituary.
