Ace and eagles
A hole in one followed two double eagles last week at Falcon Ridge Golf Course in Stacy.
On July 23, Pam Hoppe of North Branch used a No. 5 wood to conquer hole number five, a par five at 356 yards. A day later, Robert Murphy of White Bear Lake followed suit with his own double eagle on the same hole (backed up at 476 yards) while using a No. 8 iron.
That leaves Mark Nelson of Andover whose 6 iron was indeed the right choice on hole 15, a par 3, which he aced from 168 yards away on July 27.
