Brett Carlson, former Activities Coordinator for North Branch Area High School, will be working as half-time Activities Director and half-time Community Education Director for North Branch Area Public Schools this year.
“Brett is a wonderful addition to our team,” said Supterintendent Deb Henton. “We are fortunate to have his leadership and abilities impacting not one, but two, important areas of the school district.”
Thirty-four-year-old Carlson performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, and has a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary’s University, as well as a Master’s degree in Athletic and Activities Administration from the University of St. Thomas.
He is a licensed K-12 principal and Community Education Director.
Prior to his arrival at NBAPS, Carlson was a social studies teacher at Apple Valley High School, Champlin Park High School, and White Bear Lake High School.
“I am looking forward to working hard for both our students and our community,” said Carlson, who is excited by the challenge of his dual role.
Carlson and his wife, Renee, have two daughters: Megan (5) and Sarah (2).
