Bandits’ season ends with poor start

The first seven Hinckley batters scored Saturday night, sealing the Bandits’ fate and ending the 2012 season.  The first inning doomed the Bandits as four errors along with three walks gave the Knights an easy victory.

Kevin Auth started on the mound with Mike Koplitz and Eric Koplitz finishing up the final two innings.

Tyler Kronstedt had a fabulous night at the plate, going 4 for 5.

Mike Koplitz knocked in both Bandit runs and Billy Shay blasted a double to the wall in the 5th inning.

The loss ends a very rewarding season for the Bandits, who won 15 games and two playoff games.

Congratulations to Bandits’ southpaws Kevin Auth and Tyler Kronstedt who were drafted by the Mora Blue Devils and will play in this weekend’s Region 1C Tournament at Hinckley.  Mora’s opening game is Friday night against Clear Lake.
