Youth Day gets kids off the couch
The Chisago County chapters of the MN Deer Hunters Association and the National Wild Turkey Federation are co-sponsoring the 2010 Annual Youth Day, Saturday, Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Chisago Lakes Sportsman’s Club located at 10900 Lake Blvd, Chisago City.
Youth Day is a great way to get kids off the couch and away from the computer to enjoy a day of outdoor and hunting activities.
Kids get hands-on opportunity to try archery, shotgun shooting, turkey calling, tree stand safety, tomahawk throwing and other outdoor skills. There will be a picnic lunch, and every participant will receive a gift.
Great prizes will also be given away through drawings. This event is free to all MDHA Forkhorn (youth) members and to all NWTF Jakes (youth) members ages 10-16.
If you are not currently a member either organization can be joined for a $10 membership fee.
