As many of you may know, ECM Publishers’ guidelines require that we do not publish letters regarding upcoming elections one week before the election.
That is why many fine letters that came in over the weekend are not in the paper today.
I commend most of the writers for the civil manner in which they debate the qualities of their favorite candidate.
It is a very responsible way to make a statement, especially when you include researched facts and figures.
The Primary election is next Tuesday, and we have included information about absentee voting this week on page 10. There’s still time to vote if you cannot make it to the polling place next week.
The Primary election is only the beginning of the season, and we expect many more letters from our readers.
Remember, though, we will not print letters the week before the General Election, that is Oct. 31, so if you want to have a say, please get those letters in for printing in the Oct. 24 edition. Thank you for your understanding.
We will be staying up late Tuesday night and hope to have the Primary election results to you on Wednesday morning and online at www.ecmpostreview.com as soon as they come in.
