People had reason to celebrate during Rush City Community Appreciation Night on Aug. 9 at the city park. The ribbon cutting ceremony marked the completion of the 4th Street turnback project. The Minnesota State Patrol helicopter was a big hit, along with the many booths that offered face painting, minnow races, information on groups such as public health and local law enforcement and much more. The Rush City Fire Department and Chisago County K9 Unit put on demonstrations, and the Rush City Food Shelf received a nice boost through many food donations.
