Economist Arnold Kling to speak at Century College
With the future of the American economy looming as the major issue in the upcoming presidential election, Century College has invited economist Dr. Arnold Kling to give a free public lecture on Monday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m. on the college’s East Campus Lincoln Mall. The title of his talk is “Education in the Age of Creative Destruction.”
Kling earned his PhD in economics from MIT and has worked for the Federal Reserve Board and Freddie Mac. He is the author of five books, including “Crisis of Abundance: Rethinking How we Pay for Health Care; From Poverty to Prosperity,” and “Unchecked and Unbalanced: How the Discrepancy Between Knowledge and Power Caused the Financial Crisis and Threatens Democracy.”
