It is more important than ever to have a high school diploma or GED. Over the course of a lifetime, an adult with a high school diploma or GED earns on average $568,000 more than an adult without a credential.
By 2018, it is estimated that 63 percent of U.S. jobs will require a college degree or professional certificate.
And the fact is that a new GED test is coming on January 2, 2014, and all incomplete scores from the current test will expire.
Now is the time to start taking free Adult Basic Education classes in Lindstrom and North Branch.
These classes can help you brush up on basic skills in reading or math, study for your GED, work toward your high school diploma, gain better English language skills, or learn computer basics and job-seeking skills.
Adult Basic Education, Chisago Lakes and North Branch Schools offers free tutoring for adults in the areas of Basic Reading and English Language Learning.
If you know of an adult who would like to learn how to read or become more skilled in speaking, reading, and writing English, a confidential, trained, private tutor will be arranged.
If you would like to become a volunteer tutor, please call the number listed below.
