“I first want to say thank you to Ward Gilkerson,” said Coach Anna Geary. “I don’t know what I would do without our former head coach meeting at 6:30 a.m. to line the course, and then getting there early to set up all the flags and finishing chute, and then taking it all down. Your dedication to this program is astounding, and because of that dedication he is being inducted into the North Branch Hall of Fame!”
“Secondly, I want to say thanks to the brave CC kids who were willing to get up in front of a (microphone) and sing our National Anthem. What a treat that is for us coaches and for all of the parents out there. And fans and opponents too. It was just an all around phenomenal meet. We had some fantastic performances.”
The NB boys and girls cross country teams will compete in the Milaca Mega Meet at Stones Throw Golf Course at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.
