Vikings claw back, beat Saints in nail-biter

After blanking Duluth-Denfeld, the North Branch volleyball team came in second in the North Branch Invitational.
Last Thursday the team sent the Hunters back to Duluth after soundly beating them 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-12).
The team then hosted and placed second over Sartell/St. Stephens, Warroad, Princeton, Moose Lake/Willow River and Esko in an invitational hosted by the Vikings last Saturday. The team from St. Francis took first.
North Branch did not lose a game in matches against Warroad (25-14, 25-19), Moose Lake/Willow River (25-11, 25-9) and Sartell/St. Stephens (25-22, 25-10), until the girls faced St. Francis who turned the table on the Vikings with 2-0 (25-18, 25-22) victory in the first place match.
