Maytag Laundry in North Branch is offering free washing and plenty of prizes during a grand opening celebration Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21-22. The occasion is recognizing the laundry’s new location at 38809 10th Ave., complete with brand new building and spacious parking lot, just off Main Street.

To kick off the festivities, owners Bob and Rennaye Frandsen, along with members of the business community and North Branch Area Chamber of Commerce, held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday morning.

Throughout the grand opening, guests can register to win one of more than 50 door prizes. The grand prize is a flat screen digital TV. Free washing is part of the deal, too, but dryers are at regular price.
