Appreciation event was wonderful

To the Editor:

Last Wednesday afternoon I, and hundreds of fellow staff, had the privileged of attending the North Branch Area Chamber of Commerce’s first-ever staff appreciation event, held in the high school commons.

Chamber members pulled out all the stops, with beautifully decorated tables and servers offering a host of tasty treats.

Staff were overheard again and again talking about how grand the event was and how truly touching it was to receive such recognition.

What an amazing way to start the year; a strong demonstration of support from the very people we work so hard to serve 365 days a year. I watched as chamber members and staff laughed, chatted, and broke bread together. The event was wonderful in every sense of the word.

The North Branch Area Chamber of Commerce, and its membership and staff that worked so hard to plan this event, have the appreciation of a grateful school district. Its members have been incredible ambassadors for our school district.

Thanks to all of you for making the start of this school year a special one for your dedicated public servants. Together we make this community a very special place.
