James L. Dowell, age 88 of North Branch, was born on January 24, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas, to parents, Virgil and Clara (Henderson) Dowell.
This man was born to fly, serve his country and travel the world.
He served in both the Navy and Air Force fighting in World War II and the Korean War.
Upon returning from the war in 1945 he married Connie FitzGerald of Oakland, California.
He was the loving father of two children always inspiring us with his many stories.

We are heartbroken by the loss of this one-of-a-kind man. We will honor him by remembering his incredible love for family and friends.
