Dance and movement are the focus of a We R Able event on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Rush City Community Center, 720 W. 14th St.
All dances incorporate elements of ballet, jazz and tap, and they can be done in a seated position. Instructor Cheryl Braddock of the Dance Studio in Braham took training in Dance for PD ® at the Perpich Center for Arts Education through the Mark Morris Dance Company out of Brooklyn, NY.
The event is free, and donations are cheerfully accepted. This activity is made possible in part through grants from the East Central Energy Operation Round Up and East Central Regional Arts Council Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
For more information call 320-358-1220. “We R Able is part of the educational services through the St. Croix River Education District and provides programs for adults with disabilities for four school districts from Pine City to Chisago Lakes,” says Coordinator Valorie Arrowsmith.
All events are accessible and open to the general public.
