On Oct. 25, the Pregnancy Resource Center of Cambridge will be holding its 27th annual fundraising banquet at Spectacular Events in Isanti. This year the center is doing something very special and it would like the involvement of the community. The theme this year is “Speak Up.” The center will be focusing on medically challenged pregnancies and the special children that come to be a part of families as a result. The evening will highlight some great stories as well as the talents of special needs people in the area.
Those who have a special needs person in your lives are asked to e-mail a photo of that person to the center. Those people will be part of the “Wall of Special People” the night of the event. The center asks that submissions include first names and specific special needs (Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Autism, or any others). The submissions can be of people of any age. These faces will be the first thing guests see as they enter the banquet hall that evening.
Those who would like to have their special people be a part of the wall can mail, e-mail (jpeg, gif, tif), or drop off a picture with their info to 140 Buchanan St. N. #138, Cambridge MN 55008, or to firstname.lastname@example.org For more information, call 763-689-4319. Pictures must be received by October 18.
The Pregnancy Resource Center is a non-profit, life-affirming, Christian organization that works in the East Central Region providing free services for pregnancy testing, STD testing, ultrasound, material assistance, parenting education for men and women, abstinence education, options counseling and more.
