My Dad

To the editor:

As we come to the end of another election season, I would like to publicly commend my father, Sean Nienow, and tell him how proud I am of him.  I am proud of him for once again running an honorable campaign.  He is an honest man and has earned my highest level of respect.

As I was growing up, my dad taught us, often by example, that even if the other kids were dishonest, unkind, name calling or unfair, we always have a choice in our response, and since we are only responsible for ourselves, we should think carefully before we respond in every situation. He taught us to weigh our responses carefully and not react out of anger or frustration. Sometimes it is better to humble ourselves and turn the other cheek and walk away.

My dad is a fair man – he doesn’t play games or manipulate.  He is wise, bold, honorable and a very hard worker.  He has earned the respect of this community, which he represents in the Minnesota State Senate.  He will always do what he believes to be right and is not afraid to stand alone if necessary.  I am very proud of my father, and I am asking you to vote for my dad, Sean Nienow, for State Senate because we need good men like him in St. Paul.
