NB football wins section quarterfinal
The No. 4 section seeded North Branch football team hosted and defeated the No. 5 seed Grand Rapids Lumberjacks 20-13 in the section quarterfinal Tuesday, Oct. 23. The team ended its regular season tied for fifth place in the North Suburban Conference with a 3-4 conference and now has a 4-5 overall record. The Vikings team will advance and travel to face the No. 1 section seeded Hermantown Hawks (6-2 record) in the Section 7AAAA semifinal at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.
