Veterans honored in North Branch

The VFW Auxiliary and VFW Post 6424 from North Branch put on a fine Veterans Day program, complete with a Color Guard presentation, in honor of all military veterans Monday, Nov. 12 at the Chisago County Senior Center in North Branch.

As part of the program, Auxiliary President Jessica Thelander and 6-year-old son Jackson recognized veterans in attendance with a patriotic plaque and “thank you” for their service. They included Wally Fleming, Navy, 1955-58; John Zimmer, Navy, Vietnam area, 1968-72; Helen Klein, Air Force, Puerto Rico, records, 1957-60; Skip Solle, Navy though stationed with the Marines, hospital corpsman, 1968-72; and Bob Cash, Navy, 1948-50.
