Those in search of an authentic, old-fashioned Santa Claus Day will find exactly that Saturday, Dec. 8 in Almelund. Children of all ages and young at heart can enjoy apple cider, coffee, home baked goodies and other Christmas treats from 2-4 p.m. at Amador Town Hall, 15740 Maple Ln. Don’t forget the traditional craft bazaar, with Christmas bulbs personalized with calligraphy. Support your local museum with your purchase and donations.
American Legion Post 139 of Harris is once again hosting Santa Day on Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Legion Hall, 43662 Ginger Ave., in Harris. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. when children can hunt for money in a straw pile. Santa arrives at 1:45 p.m. Hot chocolate, coffee and donuts will be served.
North Branch Lioness’ Breakfast with Santa is Saturday, Dec. 8 from 8:30-11 a.m. at the Chisago County Senior Center, located on 6th Avenue and Maple Street. Offered will be pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. Cost for adults, $5; kids ages 5-12, $3; under 4, free. After breakfast, sit on Santa’s lap and tell him what you want for Christmas. Bring your own camera. Santa’s Workshop will be open for children to purchase gifts for the family.
Want a free picture with Santa Claus? Family Pathways and the Stacy Lions invite children and families to a “Pancake Breakfast with Santa” on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 8-11 a.m. at the Rick Doyle Memorial Building, 30395 Forest Blvd., in Stacy. Tickets are $5 per person and free for children ages 3 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at Family Pathways Teen Centers in Forest Lake and Stacy or at Family Pathways Thrift Stores in Forest Lake and Wyoming. Complimentary tickets are available for children and families through Family Pathways Food Shelves in North Branch and Forest Lake. If you are interested in sponsoring children and families to have breakfast with Santa, call the Stacy Teen Center at 651-462-4398. Event organizers hope no child will miss out on this opportunity to have breakfast with Santa.
The Stacy Lions’ annual Children’s Christmas Shop and Santa Visit are set for Saturday, Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stacy Fire Department. Kids can take advantage of a children’s store where they can buy small gifts for the their immediate family. Santa will be there, too, along with cookies for the kids.
