Yesterday around 4 p.m. a car ran a red light on the Highway 95 bridge in North Branch and struck a van.

Both drivers were uninjured.

“The airbags did their jobs,” North Branch Police Sgt. Rick Sapp said.

He noted the driver of the vehicle that ran the red light was cited for a moving violation, and the driver of the other vehicle was cited for driving with a revoked license.
