Young wrestlers showing potential
The Rush City/Braham wrestling team is young and showing potential in hard fought matches.
Four of the Tiger wrestlers — Dylan Mielke, Logan Johnson, Jacob Lynch and Chase Grant — won by pinning their Gobbler opponents, though the team lost 52-27 to visiting Aitkin last week.
On Friday the team faced big schools at the Big Lake Invitational, where Lynch earned champion runner-up and the team placed eighth.
The Rush City/Braham wrestling team will compete in the Chisago Lakes Invitational at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, before traveling to Cloquet to take on the Cloquet/Esko Lumberjacks at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18.
