Santa Claus came to town Dec. 8, liked what he saw, and left with a lengthy list of Christmas wishes and dreams from the good kids of Stacy. Santa appeared in Stacy on behalf of Family Pathways Youth Services to give a boost to the organization’s fundraising this holiday season.
The event featured a pancake breakfast at Rick Doyle Memorial Field, a bake sale and Santa Claus forgiving the naughty and congratulating the nice. Kids on either list had their picture taken with the Jolly Old Elf.
Family Pathways Youth Services Coordinator Don Lenhart told the Post Review this is the fifth year for this joint Stacy-North Pole effort, which has been supported by the generosity of the Stacy Lions Club. The Lions donated the building and the food for the event as well as the kitchen help.
“The Lions do a great job hosting this for us. They are very generous,” Lenhart said.
Lenhart also thanked the Teen Center’s volunteers. A couple of the young people had shown up at 7:30 a.m. on their day off of school to assist with the set-up and serving the food. Lenhart, parents of the kids and Santa were rightfully proud, promising a merry Christmas to all.
