PC/RC boys hockey nets first win of season

Last week started cold for Pine City/Rush City boys hockey with losses to Legacy Christian and Proctor, but the Dragons ended the week by torching the Vikings at Chisago Lakes Arena. 

The win was the first of the season for the Dragons.

The Dragons first traveled to Schwans Super Rink and were mauled 13-0 by Legacy Christian Lions.

Then last Thursday, the team hosted and was derailed 10-2 by the Proctor Rails.

Rush City senior Jake Kleinsasser scored one goal, while senior Conner Werner made an assist for the team.

Finally, last Saturday the Dragons slayed the Vikings 7-3.

Kleinsasser placed the puck in the back of the North Branch net four times to lead the Dragons in scoring.

 

The Pine City/Rush City team has a 1-1 Two Rivers Conference and 1-6 overall record. The Dragons will travel to Drake Arena in St. Paul to face the St. Paul Highland Park Scots at 8 p.m. Dec. 20.
